Outreach is a Texas organization established to offer children
and adults the ability to explore and learn about
nature and outdoor recreation. We promote the conservation of natural resources, prevention
of
childhood obesity, and the discovery of alternate ways to have fun with the entire family in a
safe outdoor environment.
Adventure Team Outreach manages a thriving children's program, Adventure Team Kids, and an over 1000 member adult & family organization, Adventure Team. Our Mission is to bring the excitement and fun of outdoor adventure to people young and old throughout the metroplex. We educate children on the benefits of staying healthy and how to have fun while staying active. Our outdoor adventure programs benefit children from urban areas who may have never been camping or caught a single fish. In essence, we wish to spread the joy of outdoor adventure, the importance of healthy living, and the protection of natural resources. Travis Patterson, Executive Director of Adventure Team Outreach, founded the Adventure Team organization in 1996, and has a great love for sharing outdoor adventure with everyone he meets. Jennifer Patterson, Programs Director, joined the staff in 2003 and has been a driving force behind our successful Adventure Day Camp programs. Jennifer has an 11 year old son, and loves working with the kids and parents. Together with our staff and volunteer Team Leaders, we pledge to give you great fun as well as educational experiences you and your family will remember for a lifetime.
